British White Cattle are an ancient breed of polled cattle dating back centuries and probably thousands of years. In 1876 the Reverend J. Storer noted the distinctive colouring of British White Cattle and again in 1921 Frances Pitt remarked on the markings of British White Cattle that are shared by Park Cattle and many other breeds throughout the world belonging to the Bos Taurus & Bos Indicus bovine groups. Modern genetics has yet to explain the mystery surrounding British White Cattle and their unusual markings but what is clear is that they are in big demand world-wide. Recently Britain's leading UK genetics spokesman said that "overseas markets are hungry for British genetics and have had great success with British Whites." British White Cattle are hardy, well protected against strong sunlight, provide more than enough milk and produce excellent beef. The British White Bull is an excellent crossing sire and is well known for his ability to care for his herd. |
